Artist Profile
Good Intentions
We're a septet from the very incestuous city of Melbourne, Australia. We started playing in late 2006. We play loud, layered pop songs.
We've got Matt, the main song writer, singer/guitarist and all round show off, who hates rock and roll and doesn't quite understand the concept of stopping.
Then there's Adam, the softly spoken guitarist-cum-drummer, design-extraordinaire and overall hilarious guy, who has lost at least 23kg since joining the band.
On the electronic Les Paul guitar is Chris, a handsome devil with a little bit of country runnin' through his veins. Chris discovered the delay pedal and is now a master of noise freak-outs and trippy shit.
On the keyboard is Rie, the little penguin from Japan. Known to many as a musical genius for her delicate yet snot-ripping melodies and fabulous tambourine skills.
Tim's a loser, and a boozer, not a snoozer. No he's not. He's a GOD. Currently taking time off to be a dad, Tim's the go-to-guy for acoustic guitars, electronic guitars, fantastic vocal harmonies, synth lines, pedals and a beer-spitting finale to any Good Intentions show.
Tom's on the bass and carrying this hole shambolic mess up on his back with his foot tappin', rib shakin' bass lines. Tom met the Russian Big Muff and makes all the guitarists in the group quiver with fear when he pulls out that bad mofo.
And new to the group, 'rhythmic temptress', Genna! Matt's kid sister and Tom's kid cousin, Genna's got a swag of percussive instruments, rhythm in her bones and a set of vocal chords to KILL WITH. Watch out, boys.
