Rachael and Lisa Maza are proud Mer/Yidinji/Dutch women. They have been singing together since they were young and started singing along with their (late) father, Bob Maza and his guitar. As teenagers, they both played (together and separately) in various inner city (Sydney) bands. They have performed at the “Nambundah Festivals” at Belvoir, “Rail and Cane”, Survival ’98 & Moomba 2000, The Boites “Winter Dreaming”, “Keep the Fire Burning” at VCA, Deadly Expressions and other KBN events, ABC’s “Sending a message” NAIDOC concert and Darebin Music Festival. Melbourne has been home for the Sisters the past nine years. Both are accomplished Actors and Rachael has also been Directing since 2002. In 2007 Lisa took on the new challenge of Tour Managing Ilbijerri Theatres “Chopped Liver” which toured round SA and country Victoria. Rachael has been Directing Lou Bennett’s “Show us your Tiddas” and doing MC/production work for “Black Arm Band”.
