Outsiders

In late 2005, having worked with some of Australia's finest dance producers vocalist Chris Andrews decided it was time to return to his rock n roll roots and start his own outfit.

Teaming up with guitarist Marcus Smith (Moneypenny, Tamberlaine), bassist Lawrence Folvig (Near Your House) and drummer Kosta Theodosis (Dance With Voices, Near Your House), they formed Outsiders and set about creating their own exciting, powerful & moody brand of indie rock.

In June 2006, they took their material into Supersonic Studios in St Kilda, and quickly laid down a number of tracks, the results of which can be heard here.

Outsiders spent months in their home studio, writing, arranging and refining their songs until at last they were ready to play live. This time & effort would prove to pay off as, from their first show onwards, they wowed audiences and industry types alike with the energy, passion & quality of their performances.

After just a handful of shows, Outsiders beat a field of 170 unsigned bands to win the 2006 Melbourne Fresh band competition at Revolver!

With a debut single planned for release in early 2007, and more shows lined up to blow away their growing following around town, OUTSIDERS are the band to watch in the months ahead.
