Since the phantoms went their separate ways in 1994, Jerome has been honing a more refined sound of his own, releasing five independent cds as well as supporting many of the legends of Canadian music as a trusted sideman. among the highlights was the appearance at the Canadian farm aid benefit concert before 20,000 fans at Toronto's Air Canada centre in January 2000, broadcast nationwide, and two electrifying shows with Jimmy Bowskill in Montréal in the summer of 2002, one before a record-breaking crowd at the Montréal jazz festival and the to a crowd of 30,000 at Canada day festivities.
