The pigeon holes that exist within music have always been a bad fit for “QYNN.” Recently recognised as one of the most “talented guitarists in Australia ” his show is unlike any other soloist. QYNN’S ability to sing and play guitar whilst playing digital drums with his feet simultaneously has been described by music critics as “genuinely talented” and his sound like “Neil Finn meets Tommy Emanuel.” QYNN is endorsed by Cole Clarke guitars which makes him only the third act from WA (along with The Sleepy Jackson and Eskimo Joe) to be sponsored by this prestigious company. 2008 looks set to be a busy yet successful year for Qynn, after securing a prestigious invitation to travel to Canada in May for the “New Music West Festival” in Vancouver to participate in the “Australian Music Showcase.” He has also performed at “Save da Hill” Festival in Yallingup, The Batavia Blues ‘n’ Roots” Geraldton, “Orphans Easter Festival” Denmark and “Cowtown Focus” in Cowaramup. QYNN was also recently booked to play the Margaret River Wine Festival ’08. He has played and appeared with acts such as Tim Rogers (You am I), Vdelli, Jimmy Barnes, Jeff St John, John English, The Vascoe Era, Little Birdy and The Hoodoo Gurus to name a few. Now playing as a soloist for the first time, QYNN is fast emerging as one of the most talented solo acts in the country. After returning from a hugely successful East Coast tour and with the release of his latest self titled CD receiving rave reviews (“the man is an absolute genius” and “He knows his way around a guitar like few others”) QYNN proves to be both a musician and a lyricist who has sincere dignity.
