Retail Fireworks

Under bustling cities lie pockets of peaceful emptiness. Tunnels, bridges and overpasses serve to divert people away from the moments of quiet that these forms themselves create.

Led by Andrew Yardley (Laura) blending murmurs of beat, vocals and winding guitars, he interleaves selected field recordings captured in some of these negative spaces; juxtapositions of their above-world counterparts.

Retail Fireworks redirects our focus to these places of polar opposites, caverns that seem so superfluous to the every day lives of dwellers in the commotion of the world above.
