Sime Nugent

Sime Nugent is considered to be one of Australia's great songwriters with one of Australia's great voices. In fourteen years at the coalface of live and recorded music, Sime has toured nationally and internationally throughout Australia, Europe and America. His new album"Sime Nugent Happy Hour" is his eleventh release.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia; the son of Irish generational musicians and writers, Sime has performed with many bands. His first band, Sedan, which featured now members of Jet and Pete Murray band released two albums and spanned six years. Sime's work with the renowned A Capella outfit, Acapelicans established an audience around the world. Acapelicans released four albums and periodically continue their collaboration in their eleventh year. He made two highly regarded albums with soulful roots outfit, The Fore Fathers. - key members of which sime has again recorded with on his latest record.

For the last two years, Sime Nugent has travelled as a solo troubadour with an extensive repertoire, and live shows that continue to receive both critical and popular acclaim. Notable amonsgst the acolades was the inclusion of "Gently As She Goes" in JJJ's Hotest 100 CD.
